Denver Post: People on the move...CBSA Leadership Announced

Quoting from the posting this morning:

"COLORADO BIOSCIENCE ASSOCIATION named Steve Orndorff, chief executive of Ariel Pharmaceuticals, as chairman. Other new officers include Derek Cole, ARCA Biopharma, vice chairman; Norwood Robb, Denver School of Science and Technology, treasurer; and Linda Pryor, Pfizer Inc., secretary. Newly appointed board members include Jeff Castleberry, EndoShape Inc.; Joe Guiles, MicroRx, CSU Ventures; Scott Hutton Sr., Medtronic Navigation; and David Mitchell, Merck & Co."

NCBR: 'Guiles, Lytle-Barnaby named to Colorado BioScience board'

Quoting from the article in the Northern Colorado Business Report:

"Two Northern Colorado people were named to the Colorado BioScience Association board of directors at the board's 2011 annual meeting.

Joe Guiles, executive director of MicroRx, CSU Ventures, was one of four newly appointed board members. Also appointed were Jeff Castleberry, COO, EndoShape Inc. of Boulder; Scott Hutton, senior director of global marketing, Medtronic Navigation of Louisville; and David Mitchell, executive director and plant manager, Merck and Co. Inc., Boulder.

Among six reappointments to the board was Ruth Lytle-Barnaby, executive director, Poudre Valley Health System Community and Foundation Development."

Congratulations, BDEGP Early Stage Company Grant Awards Recipients - 2nd Grant Cycle

BioAMPS International Inc., Mosiac Biosciences Inc., 2CTech Corp and SuviCa Inc. have received funding from Colorado's Bioscience Discovery Evaluation Grant Program.

Of note, Proof of Concept applications are due for the 2nd competitive round by April 30th, and are still open for institutions with funds remaining in their allocation. Fiscal year 2011-12 applications and guidelines for both the Early Stage Company Proof of Concept programs will be released this summer.

BCBR: "Orndorff to lead bioscience association"

"DENVER - Ariel Pharmaceuticals founder Steve Orndorff has been tapped to head the board of directors of the Colorado BioScience Association, an industry trade group with several Boulder Valley members.

Orndorff takes over the chairman duties from Rick Jory, chief executive officer of Sandhill Scientific in Highlands Ranch. Derek Cole is the newly named vice chairman of the board. Cole is vice president at Broomfield-based ARCA biopharma Inc., a company that makes therapies for heart failure."
